Creator of the global bestselling series Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls (www.rebelgirls.co), Timbuktu is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide administrative support in the day to day operations to Director of Sales and contribute to the achievement of sales targets and new sales channels (with focus on Europe and Australia territories). To be point of contact for the UK/AU warehouses, to contribute to the growth of sales, to provide sales reports and sales analysis. To deal with queries over the telephone, emails and liaise with new and existing customers.

OUTCOMES

  • Liaise with UK/AU warehouses to deal with customers’ queries on orders
  • Process orders and handle invoices Issue quotes, confirming delivery dates and advising on best practice for timely and cost saving deliveries
  • Monitor UK/AU stock level and open balance reports
  • Use sales and inventory systems to provide sales reports and sales activity update on a weekly basis
  • Contribute to the growth of sales in EU, Australia and New Zealand territories
  • Liaise with existing customers and communicate plans to all key accounts ensuring operational performance
  • Identify new potential streams of revenue beyond current organizational thinking to ensure growth
  • Attend EU retailers/distributors meetings and key events (e.g. Frankfurt Book Fair)
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the business and publishing list
  • Market research support
  • Develop and deploy continuous improvement methodologies
  • Liaise and collaborate with E-commerce team
  • Assist and support the sales team as required
  • Attend internal meetings
  • Collaborate with Design and Communication to create and implement supporting materials for promotion and marketing campaigns

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good IT skills including proficiency using Microsoft Office (in particular Excel)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data
  • Highly organized with an alert eye for detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative
  • Sales oriented with a keen interest in female empowerment titles
  • Experience in B2B international sales
  • Experience in PR and Communications would be an advantage in applying for this role
